The Truth And Reconciliation

Things have been a little crazy in the political department in both Canada and the US.

Canadian Politics:
Well, Canada is a pretty cool country, with our whole democratic system rockin' away in Ottawa. Unfortunately, democracy seems to be crashing around us thanks to Mr. Harper. The Liberals, The Bloc and NDP parties formed a coalition in attempt to bring down Harper's reign. It would go down to another vote, technically, Harper could still win. But instead of letting our democratic system take place, Harper decided to postpone parliament until January. He is basically just making an attempt to hold onto his job. Unfortunately, during that time, Harper will have time to put out a new budget. This country's system and government were started by coalition governments. This country wouldn't be where it is today without the coalitions of the past. Getting in the way of this process is unpatriotic and goes against the system we believe in. Hopefully, when Canada gets to vote in January (yet again, before I myself can vote) they make the right choice.

American Politics:
Kudos to Obama. His policies are absolutely fantastic and it seems he will do great things in this world. He wants to introduce a health care system and said he would make an effort to introduce the metric system in the US (I wonder which neighbour he stole these ideas from). Unfortunately, the states is in a very poor financial situation. Obama will not have the finances to actually follow through on most of his promises. I just hope he is a strong enough leader to get the US through a possible depression
